Microprocessor protection devices of the ZX series are designed for use in relay protection and automation circuits of transformers and power transmission lines in case of short circuits and overloads, as well as for control and telemechanics of connections.

The devices are designed for installation in relay cabinets and switchgear compartments, cabinets of relay halls and control panels of substations 6-35 kV. The devices can also be supplied independently for use at existing facilities during their modernization or reconstruction. In addition, the devices can be included in the complete supply during the capital construction of electric power facilities.

The devices have four output relays, two or three current inputs for measuring phase currents, one for the ZNZ current, three inputs for measuring phase voltage, four discrete inputs. The maximum current protection can only work against short-circuit current. Short-term voltage drops (more than 800 ms) are filtered and stabilized by the power supply.
